Proprietary Waveguide

A listening room affects the overall sound of most loudspeakers as much as any other single component. Our proprietary waveguide was developed with the intent purpose of making the Corvus as room-neutral as possible. To accomplish this, we developed and incorporated a specially shaped 3-dimensional waveguide. As a result, Corvus delivers more detail in the high-range and establishes an incredibly well-defined sound stage. Because of this, you less of the room and more of the music!

Mastering Level Sonic Accuracy

Speakers used in mastering facilities have to be a completely reliable reference point for the sound engineer. Mixing, equalization, and other adjustments are made based on what the engineer or producer hears thru their reference monitors. Only a rare breed of speakers achieve this level of performance. The Corvus Tower System offers the highest degree of accuracy across the full frequency spectrum. While it is absolutely a mastering grade system, rest assured it's equally as enjoyable at home.

Detailed, Musical and Sweet

Most highly detailed speakers come across as very clinical and dry. They are designed to give you exactly what is there but, the fact is, they simply are not pleasant to listen to. The Corvus Tower System achieves an astonishing equilibrium between accuracy and musical sweetness. No matter your musical taste, from classical music to classic rock, Corvus Tower System provides an exceptional listening experience that and is expansive, explosive and exciting.

Ruler Flat Response

A flat frequency response across the full range of music is not the only component in musical accuracy but, it is an essential one. The Corvus Tower System has an amazingly flat response and it’s high-frequency waveguide helps minimize the effects of a given room on it’s higher frequencies. When listing through the Corvus, you'll be amazed at how well you can hear every sound. From electronic reverbs and ambiance to a more in-depth sound stage, you'll feel more a part of the performance than ever.

Lightning-Fast Impulse Response

An impulse response is the ability of a speaker to start and stop at the beginning and end of a tone. This is another key factor in obtaining musical accuracy. Corvus utilizes a properly designed sealed enclosure to achieve the fastest impulse response possible.

Everything about the lower Corvus bass module is designed to be reference quality as well. Nothing could be more important than impulse response and speed on a bass system. This is why we use a high excursion woofer designed specifically for sealed enclosures. Tight, punchy, authoritative and thunderous!

Ultra Low Resonance Enclosure

Great care was taken with the design and build quality of the Corvus enclosure. To reduce any possibility of resonance, we use high-grade, high-density 1" MDF. Speaker cabinets typically have resonant frequencies that vibrate sympathetically with certain musical tones. When this happens it adds unwanted coloration to the sound. The only sound produced should be from the speaker drivers themselves, not the cabinet.

1 review for Corvus Tower System

I recently posted an extended review of my new Corvus Tower System speakers. The following are some excerpts from that review for those of you are checking out these wonderful speakers for the first time. You can find the full review on the Raven Community forum in the speaker section here… https://www.ravenaudio.com/community/speakers/corvus-tower-system-review/#post-494

“The Corvus, following in the footsteps of the Raven amps, provide amazing detail. This detail is not as much a clinical accuracy as it is a clarity in the vocals and instruments. The Blackhawk provided more of this than the SS it replaced, and the CeLest’s took another step forward when they replaced my prior speakers, and now the Corvus have taken this to a whole new level, one I would never have thought possible. I experience this in multiple ways. The lyrics are clearer and therefore more understandable, not smeared as is the case with lesser amps and speakers.”

“… midbass would be a good topic to discuss next because it is a frequency range where the Corvus are simply spectacular. For purposes of this discussion by mid-bass I mean the frequencies where instruments like tom tom and floor tom drums, and the lower frequencies of guitars, reside. The drums in this range are powerful, real, and full of depth. I could listen to them for hours because they convey deep and resonant tones that I never get tired of hearing. The beauty and impact of them just can’t be translated into words, they just have to be heard to be appreciated.”

“In my system the bass integrates perfectly with the upper frequencies, resulting in a seamless, balanced presentation. The bass is accurate, controlled, and deep, both in frequency and in space. There is not even a hint of boom or toneless thud. The deep rumbles are there when called for, note slides are heard and you can follow the bassist as he or she moves up and down the scales. In a nutshell when you combine the bass and mid-bass you have a lower end presentation that is alive, musical, and dynamic.”

“I haven’t mentioned treble and midrange yet. Let me just say the vocals and instruments sound so real you would think you are in the room with the artists.”

“The Raven amps are known for their ability to present a three-dimensional soundstage. I had experienced this to a certain degree before I acquired the Corvus. Whatever I did experience has been increased exponentially with the Corvus. The 3D I experience is both within the sound of certain instruments, especially drums, and in space around the voices and instruments.”

“ I would like to encourage anyone who is the least bit interested in this level of speaker, or are just curious to find out for yourself what the hype is all about, to find a way to audition them. I am getting this Unbelievable sound with a 4K, 20 Watt, tube integrated. And the nice thing is you can start with the monitors and add the bass modules later.”

I will conclude by saying the Corvus Towers are by far the best pieces of hi-fi equipment I have ever owned and worth every penny I spent on them. They will elevate whatever components precede them in your system. I can absolutely assure you of that!
